Your voice. Your Mac. Not our servers.

Privacy Policy

Liltio does not collect, receive or store your audio recordings, dictation text or dictation history from local dictation. Your speech is processed on your Mac using local AI models and local tools.

We do not have a server-side copy of that content. The limited information needed for licenses, purchases and our website is separate from what you say or write.

1. The dictation content we do not collect

Liltio’s local dictation does not upload your microphone audio, recognized words, edited dictation or transcript history to us. There is no Liltio cloud archive or server-side backup of your local dictation history.

Dictation history, saved text, dictionary entries, snippets, notes and personalization used by local features are held in the app’s local storage on your computer. They are not automatically synchronized to Liltio. Local activity statistics are calculated on your Mac, not uploaded to us as a record of your dictation activity.

Because we do not receive this local content, we do not read it, build a database of it, sell it or use it to train our models. Your content remains yours; using Liltio does not give us ownership of it.

You control any separate sharing. If you deliberately send a transcript or screenshot to support, we receive that message, not access to the rest of your history. If you explicitly enable a remote provider, the selected request goes to that provider as explained in section 5. Neither action is required for local dictation.

We cannot retrieve or disclose your local audio recordings, dictation text or dictation history from our servers, including in response to a legal request, because we do not collect or store them there. Liltio’s licensing, update and content-card services do not give us remote access to those files on your Mac.

If a legal obligation requires disclosure, it can apply only to information we actually possess or can lawfully access, such as an order, account record or a message you voluntarily sent to support. It does not turn local dictation into a record we hold. This distinction is not a promise of immunity for your device, a third-party service you choose or information you independently share.

3. What stays on your computer

Speech recognition and local AI run on your Mac. Temporary audio files may be created locally during processing and cleaned up afterward; Liltio does not maintain an audio-recording history.

When local text history is enabled, it can contain transcripts, edits and related details such as time, language and the app used. The default history period is three days, adjustable in Settings. You can disable history, export local data or delete it. Cleanup runs when the app runs. Saved dictionary entries, snippets, notes and personalization preferences have separate lifetimes and remain until removed. These are local storage choices, not a server retention policy.

Microphone, Accessibility and Input Monitoring permissions enable listening, shortcuts and text insertion on your Mac. Depending on the requested action and settings, local tools may use the active app, selected text, nearby context or the clipboard. Granting these macOS permissions does not upload your content to Liltio. If insertion cannot be confirmed, generated text may remain in the clipboard for manual pasting.

Local diagnostics and usage summaries stay local unless you choose to share them. Exporting a file does not send it to us. Your operating-system backups, clipboard tools and any app into which you insert text may have their own storage or cloud-sync settings; those are not Liltio’s cloud storage.

4. App connections are not dictation uploads

Local speech processing does not require us to receive your speech. Some supporting services still use internet connections:

These service requests do not contain your microphone audio, dictation text or local history. Hosting providers necessarily receive connection information such as an IP address and the requested resource. That is why “we do not collect your dictation” does not mean that no network request or license record ever exists.

5. Only if you choose an external AI or search service

Local AI is separate from optional online integrations. If you explicitly configure and allow a remote AI provider, the prompts, text and relevant context needed for that request are sent directly to the provider you selected, not to a Liltio dictation-storage service. Separately enabled and permitted web search sends search queries to Brave Search.

These features are optional and are not needed to use local dictation. A remote service’s own privacy terms govern what it receives, keeps or uses; we cannot promise zero retention or no training on its behalf. Keep those options disabled if you want content processing to remain entirely local.

Provider API credentials are stored on your Mac, normally in macOS Keychain, with a permissions-restricted local fallback where needed. They authenticate requests to your selected provider. Do not send credentials to support.

6. Separate website, purchase and support information

Purchases. Lemon Squeezy currently handles checkout as merchant of record. It receives payment and billing details. We receive the information needed to issue and support a license: purchase email, order/customer/license references, currency, amounts, discounts, tax, payment status and refunds. Our licensing database does not store full card numbers or CVCs. These purchase records do not contain your local dictation.

Website operation. Cloudflare hosts and protects our site and services. Network requests, IP addresses, request metadata and operational errors are processed to deliver resources and prevent abuse. Rate limits may use short-lived rotating identifiers derived from connection information. This does not let us inspect content stored on your Mac.

Website statistics. We keep daily aggregate counts of page loads, button visibility and clicks, section reach and broad active-time thresholds, plus independent purchase-page and checkout-response counts. Individual analytics events, visitor IDs, fingerprints, full URLs, email addresses, form contents and recordings are not stored in those totals. We do not join them to customer, affiliate or app records. A download click does not show whether you installed or used Liltio. See Website statistics for details and an opt-out; Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are also respected for this measurement.

Product-update subscriptions. If you choose to subscribe, we store your email, sign-up time, consent version, source and any confirmation/delivery status. Use the private removal link shown after sign-up, an unsubscribe link where provided, or contact us to stop updates. Subscribing is separate from purchasing or using the app.

Support messages. We receive the contact details, messages, order references and attachments you choose to send. Support does not automatically obtain your recordings or history. Please share only what is necessary and never send passwords, verification codes, full card numbers or API keys. Verification and security emails are service messages, not marketing subscriptions.

7. Browser storage and optional affiliate tracking

Necessary browser storage supports requested services and privacy choices. Purchase-session cookies last up to 24 hours. Account-portal sessions are short-lived, with an authenticated session of up to one hour and an idle limit. Disabling all cookies can affect sign-in and checkout recovery.

The website-statistics opt-out saves a non-identifying preference cookie for one year across liltio.com and its subdomains. Our separate affiliate consent choice is stored in browser local storage and is valid for up to 30 days. Visiting a referral link does not itself grant permission.

Only after you allow optional referral tracking do we load Lemon Squeezy’s referral technology. It uses referral codes, cookies such as ls_aff_ref, visit identifiers and browser/device identification to attribute eligible sales and calculate partner commission. The program has a 30-day referral window, subject to provider rules.

You can decline or withdraw through Cookie preferences in the website footer. Withdrawal stops future referral tracking here and clears the referral cookie accessible to our site. It cannot recall an already-created checkout or erase a provider’s existing financial records. Declining does not prevent a normal purchase or increase your price.

Affiliate identity is not stored in the Mac app or linked to your trial device identity. If you later buy from the app, the purchase flow passes through our website and may use an existing referral in that same browser, with valid permission and within the original window. A different browser, cleared storage or blocked/expired tracking may prevent attribution. None of this tracks what you dictate.

Partner applications and payouts use Lemon Squeezy’s program. Liltio manually reviews applications and uses the available program information to administer partnerships and address disputes or fraud.

8. Why service information is processed and by whom

The operator is Ahmet Toprak Kavran (Liltio), based in Türkiye. This policy covers the Mac app, liltio.com, account and purchase services, and communications with us. For information processed by us, contact help@liltio.com.

Service information comes from your requests and communications, browser or app service connections, and payment, email and referral providers. This is not a source of your local dictation history. Where a legal basis is required, we use:

Cloudflare hosts and protects our website, downloads and service databases. Lemon Squeezy handles payments and the affiliate program. Resend delivers account verification and security emails; email also passes through mailbox providers. Optional model-download, AI and search providers receive requests for the features you choose. These roles do not give any of them a copy of local dictation through Liltio’s local speech-processing features.

Provider notices: Cloudflare, Lemon Squeezy and Resend. Providers may process information on our instructions or for their own responsibilities, such as payment compliance. They operate internationally; service information may be processed outside Türkiye or your country, including in the United States or European Economic Area. Applicable transfer requirements govern these arrangements; contact us for information relevant to your request. This concerns service information, not a transfer of your local dictation archive.

We do not sell website statistics to advertisers. Any legally required disclosure concerns information actually available to us, as explained in section 2. Using this site is not blanket consent to optional tracking. We cannot provide a requested account or license service without the limited information needed for that service.

9. Local storage is not our server retention

We have no server retention period for local dictation content because we do not receive or store it. Its local history settings and deletion controls are explained in section 3. We cannot restore local history from a Liltio server backup.

Separately, account, trial, activation and purchase records are retained as needed for license continuity, recovery, fraud prevention, refunds, legal obligations and disputes. Support messages are kept as needed for the issue, follow-up and related legal duties. Product-update details remain while the subscription serves its purpose; removal stops the subscription, while limited consent, delivery or suppression records may remain where needed to honor the choice or prevent abuse.

Daily aggregate website-statistics totals are retained for up to 365 days in the active database. Service backups have their own recovery periods. Browser-storage lifetimes are explained in section 7; a code or session expiring does not mean every associated security record is immediately deleted.

Where there is no fixed public service-record period, retention depends on the record’s purpose, the relationship, applicable obligations and unresolved disputes. You can request deletion of information we hold, and we will explain any necessary exceptions. Deleting local app data or uninstalling does not itself delete purchases, licenses, files you exported or backups managed outside the app.

We use encrypted network connections, restricted service access and signed license data. No system is perfectly secure, and not every local file is encrypted by the app. Protect your Mac, email account and private credentials, and review files before sharing them.

10. Your controls and privacy rights

Manage local history and optional integrations in the app’s Settings. Because we do not hold your local recordings or dictation history, we cannot view, export or delete that content remotely for you. Local exports and deletion are under your control.

For the separate information we do hold, you may have rights under Türkiye’s Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the GDPR where applicable, or other applicable law. These can include information and access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objections, information about recipients, notification of eligible corrections/deletions to recipients and challenging an adverse result based solely on automated analysis. Legal conditions and exceptions apply.

Send requests to help@liltio.com with enough detail to identify the account or interaction. We may request proportionate verification and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Do not send passwords, verification codes or identity documents unless a secure and necessary verification method has been agreed.

You can withdraw optional consent using Cookie preferences or the subscription-removal methods above; withdrawal does not invalidate earlier lawful processing. You may complain to the competent data-protection authority, including Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Authority or the applicable European supervisory authority, subject to local procedures.

If you believe a child has provided personal information without permission required by applicable law, contact us so we can review it. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information or another person’s content without appropriate authority.

11. Changes and contact

We will update this page and its date if our practices change. Material changes will receive additional notice or a new choice where required. Continuing to browse is not consent to new optional tracking.
